A group of bandits reportedly intercepted and stole Christmas food supplies from a man in Katari, Kaduna State. The incident occurred on Saturday around 5:23 pm, according to a community leader who confirmed the news on Monday.

The victim was said to have purchased a bag of rice, drinks, and other condiments in Katari and was on his way to Gidan Abe village when the bandits struck. Riding on motorcycles, they blocked his path and seized the items.

“They took the food supplies and sped off on their motorcycles without harming or abducting the victim,” the community leader explained.

The incident has left the community on edge as residents prepare for the festive season amid growing concerns about insecurity.

As of the time of filing this report, the Kaduna State Police Command spokesman, ASP Hassan Mansur, had yet to confirm the incident.
