Former presidential candidate, Peter Obi has appointed his spokesperson Dr. Yunusa Tanko as the Interim National Coordinator of the Obidient Movement Worldwide.

The announcement was made during a Twitter space on Monday night.

In June, Peter Obi clarified that the Obidient Movement operates independently of any political party and is not limited to any particular affiliation.

He emphasized that the movement is not centered within any specific party or region in Nigeria. Instead, it includes members from across Africa and the globe, comprising individuals from diverse backgrounds, including rural communities, public and private sectors, and corporate entities.

The movement is driven by a shared vision for a new and better Nigeria, advocating for fairness, equity, inclusivity, and justice while upholding principles of adaptive and transformative change, progress, discipline, and democratic values.
