It’s the first anniversary of what the Amnesty International described as a horrific attack.

If Nigerians have forgotten and our leaders can’t remember, Dr Akinyemi said, though as Christians we have forgiven the perpetrators of the dastardly acts, we as their brethren will never forget.

We leave the burden of bringing to book the criminals behind the massacre of over 200 souls. Sad that a year has gone by without any news on the perpetrators. Justice for them is the meal that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu owes humanity this Christmas.

Dr Akinyemi condemns the massacre, says we need to establish the fear of God in the hearts of our children.

The President Voice of His Word Ministries Lagos, Dr Bolaji .O. Akinyemi has condemned the massacre of innocent people in Bokkos Local Government Area of Plateau State in 2023 but insisted that the carnage thrived on the bedrock of politics. While statesmen think of the next generation, politicians think of the next election. Focus of our political leaders on the next election is the reason criminality is daily described as insecurity and the need for sustenance is the reason media practitioners who should know better are pushing the narratives. The perils of  Nigerians as victims is lack of unity and oneness.

He disclosed that Nigerian leaders failed woefully to tackle the problem of criminality bedeviling the country as the Bokkos children made  orphans as a result of last year’s attacks marked one year of massacre of their parents in 11 villages on Eve of Christmas in Bokkos Local Government Area (LGA) of Plateau State in 2023.

Dr Akinyemi stated this during the funfair dinner organized by his ministry, the Voice of His Word Ministries to mark one year of massacre that happened in  villages in Bokkos LGA.

He said, we need to put the system in place to bring up our children with the fear of God, the children the Bible said are the heritage of the Lord , and of course the Bible gave us Jesus Christ as an example of how to grow a child into sonship; “unto him a child is born, unto him a son is given”. Akinyemi said between childhood and sonship is a gap that parenthood must fill through cultural responsibility of training.

According to him, culture takes over when a child is born to build that  child into a son, however, the culture of the Jewish people builds up Jesus Christ into a global model of a man of peace, to fulfill his prophetic destiny as the Prince of Peace, the Bible says, “as his custom was”, he went into the temple and read from the scripture what was written concerning him”.

That’s our responsibility as the government, communities and families to bring up our children as a nation according to what is written in our constitution concerning the Nigerian every child. This is the lacuna the beast of religions are feasting on to train Bandits and our laws of extremists and kidnappers. As a nation we must come together to determine the sonship products we want to harvest from our children.

He pointed out that our responsibility is to turn the gift of heaven, our children into sonship because God can’t do that for us so we can develop a syllabus and curriculum of training that  will help us achieve that. A  system must be put in place. What we have today is a failure of the system .

Dr Akinyemi emphasized that the problem Nigeria is undergoing now is the problem of leadership in the country where Boko Haram insurgents are striving due to the family and government failure at raising responsible citizens.

We have the responsibility to train our own children towards improving the well-being of our society but these leaders continued to create acrimony amongst the diverse tribes and religious nepotism in the country.

He condemns the massacre of people in Nigeria and urged the government to secure the country from bandits who are parading themselves as religious leaders.

The one year Christmax celebration with the 950 internally displaced children was to restore the spirit of Christmas which the enemies of our faith sought to exterminate last year! Joy to the world, Christmas will forever be.

Speaking of the vulnerability of children, Dr Akinyemi said; “we have a professional to help those children with trauma and counseling led by Mrs Mafalal xyz….. Many thanks to Rhoda Sanda whose on the ground presence as XY of Zx was of tremendous help to the success of ChristMaX.

He promised to continue with the sustainability of the children learning program and feeding because nobody knows whether amongst these boys we have the President, Governors or Senators tomorrow.

Dr Akinyemi assured that the ministries would be prepared to ensure that the welfare of these vulnerable children is our priority and that going forward they are well catered for and protected .
