Hon. Tallest Innocent, the Senior Special Assistant to Governor Seyi Makinde on Community Relations (Igbo Community), has suffered a significant loss as a fire ravaged his wholesale distribution center in Ibadan, Oyo State.

The incident occurred on Saturday evening around 7:00 p.m. at the facility located in the Alafara community, near NIHORT Iletuntun Shonshon Road. Although the exact cause of the fire remains unknown, it completely destroyed goods worth millions of naira, including plastic beverages stocked for the festive season.

Emergency responders from the Oyo State Fire Service were quick to arrive at the scene, working tirelessly to prevent the flames from spreading further. Despite their efforts, the inferno left the entire stockpile in ruins.

Speaking about the incident, Innocent expressed deep gratitude to the fire service team for their prompt intervention, which helped avert a greater disaster. However, he lamented the devastating losses, describing the situation as a significant setback during the yuletide period.

Investigations are ongoing to determine the cause of the fire, while sympathizers have continued to rally around Innocent, offering support in this difficult time.
