The Federal Government has introduced free train rides for Nigerians during the Christmas and New Year celebrations to alleviate the transportation burden during the festive season.

The free service, which will run from December 18, 2024, to January 15, 2025, was announced after the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting in Abuja. The initiative is part of the government’s efforts to support holiday travelers and ensure smooth movement during the busy period.
