The Supreme Court has dismissed a lawsuit filed by Ambrose Owuru, the presidential candidate of the Hope Democratic Party (HDP), seeking to unseat President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

The apex court also imposed a N5 million fine on Owuru for what it described as a frivolous legal action.

In a decisive ruling, the court instructed its Registry to reject any further frivolous originating summons from Owuru, signaling its stance against the misuse of judicial processes.

Thecompodium.com reports that the judgement marks a significant victory for President Tinubu, as the court’s decision reinforces the legitimacy of his presidency amidst ongoing political challenges.
