Rev. Canon Olowolagba, an Anglican Church cleric, along with his wife and two children, has regained freedom after being abducted by gunmen on the Ise/Iboropa-Akoko Road in Akoko North-East Local Government Area of Ondo State.

The Commander of the Ondo State Amotekun Corps, Akogun Adetunji Adeleye, confirmed the release, stating that the victims have been reunited with their family. However, he did not disclose the details surrounding their release.

The family was reportedly returning from a wedding in Ikaramu-Akoko when the abduction occurred on Thursday.

The news of their release has brought relief to the local community, which had been on edge since the incident. Calls for improved security along major roads in the state have intensified in the wake of the abduction.
