Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has announcedthe dismissal of the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Dr. Abdullahi Bichi, along with his Chief of Staff, Hon. Shehu Wada Sagagi, and five commissioners in a major cabinet shake-up.

The development was disclosed during a press briefing on Thursday by the governor’s spokesperson, Sanusi Bature Dawakin-Tofa. According to Dawakin-Tofa, the move is part of efforts to enhance administrative efficiency and improve governance in the state.

The affected commissioners were not immediately named, but the reshuffle is seen as a strategic effort to reposition the administration for better service delivery to the people of Kano State.

Governor Yusuf’s decision has sparked widespread reactions, with political analysts describing it as a bold step aimed at injecting fresh energy into the state’s executive council.
