In a guest to introduce Nigerian’s foremost freedom fighters, Prof. Chris Mustapha Nwaokobia Jnr, is enlisted with top charts. His fearless and unending desire to see Nigeria in good shape is squarely delivered on several attacks against the governments of former president Muhammad Buhari and the incumbent president, Bola Ahmed Tinubu. In his clear vision to change narratives of bad governance in Nigeria, he ran for the office of president in 2011 under the platform of Liberal Democratic Party of Nigeria Political Platform at the age of 40.
Following trends of the youths, and his readiness to support young visionary and intellectual leaders, he supported Peter Obi of Labour Party in the 2023 presidential election. His strong support for Peter Obi before, during and after the campaign and election is a symbol of patriotic citizen. Diversely, his support and endorsement of former Edo State governorship flagbearer of Peoples Democratic Party, Asue Ighodalo, is a testament of true democratic man. And to that indication, it is noted that he only support people with developmental power and insight.
Prof. Chris Mustapha Nwaokobia Jnr is among the high-leveled industrious Nigerians following his constructive criticisms. Prof. Chris’ attacks on the bad governmental policies, touches all corners of the government: the legislature and judiciary; and fellow intellectuals in diverse fields having biased thoughts and advances in their course of advocacies and activisms. These advocacies and activisms are extensively delivered in his columns on national newspapers; and interviews and political commentaries on national radios and televisions.
The intellectual contributions of Prof. Chris are geared in public and private sectors where he has mentored and supported young voices. Additionally, he has been invited as a guest speaker to over 300 events including conferences, seminars and workshops. He takes all these occasions to discuss on national building and more; and this has earned him numerous Socio-Political and Humanitarian awards.
In his quest to achieve his dream for Nigerians, and especially the young ones, he has the following organizations to his credit: He is the Initiator, Country First, (a Nigeria Redemption Movement); Founder, The Third Forum; Founder and Director General, Change Ambassadors of Nigeria (CAN); Initiator & Coordinator, Network for Change (CAN); Ambassador for Peace, Universal Peace Federation (UPF). These organizations are used to safeguard voices of poor masses and have provided comforts to dozens of the less-privileged citizens.
Fired by desires for knowledge, he gained degree in law at University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN) and proceeded to Nigerian Law School in 1996. In 2008, he went to United States for further studies. His continuous academic engagement has earned him honorary doctorate in Leadership and Public Administration. He also holds a Professorial Chair Honoris in Political Science.
Prof. Chris sited his late Chris Ikechukwu Nwaokobia Snr, Mahatma Mohandas Gandhi, Rev. Martin Luther King Jnr, and Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela as his major influencers. That is why; he is ever after equality and indiscrimination in our time. His fearless and upright defense for Dele Farotimi and other human rights activists is the loyalty to his call for better Nigeria.
