Popular social critic Martins Otse, widely known as Verydarkman, has debunked claims of missing funds from his NGO, stating that not a single dime is unaccounted for.

This revelation comes after the social media influencer initially raised alarm on Friday, alleging that his organization’s account had been hacked, resulting in the disappearance of N180 million. The announcement sparked widespread reactions, with many criticizing him and even dragging his mother into the controversy.

However, in a new video shared on Tuesday, Verydarkman revealed that the entire hacking claim was a ruse to expose how quickly people spread misinformation without seeking evidence.

“No money is missing; my funds are secure. The way people get excited about bad news is really sad,” he said. “I told my website guy to shut down the site so we could catch cruise with this. Nobody asked for proof; they just ran with the story. I’m actually happy I did this.”

Verydarkman expressed disappointment over the backlash he received, lamenting the insults directed at his family. He used the moment to highlight the dangers of misinformation and how easily the public can be misled.
