A fresh controversy has emerged involving social media influencer VeryDarkMan (VDM), as an individual has accused him of misrepresenting a taxi driver from Kogi State as a police officer.

The allegations surfaced on X, formerly Twitter, where the accuser shared that VeryDarkMan had previously claimed he was traveling to Jos with a police officer named Joe. However, the accuser has now disputed this claim, identifying the supposed officer as Henry, a well-known Taxi Task Force member and regular driver at the Abuja Airport.

In a post that quickly gained traction, the accuser stated:
“The man being presented by VDM as a police officer traveling with him is actually Henry, a Taxi Task Force member from Kogi State. He’s a regular at Abuja Airport. Show his picture to anyone familiar with the area, and they’ll confirm it.”

The accuser went on to criticize VeryDarkMan, calling the alleged misrepresentation an act of clout-chasing that could harm his credibility.
“This level of clout-chasing undermines credibility and will damage his reputation. Integrity should not be compromised for social media clout chasing. I wish him the best!”

This allegation comes shortly after VeryDarkMan shared a video claiming that ₦180 million had been hacked from his account. He revealed he was traveling to Jos with a police officer to investigate the incident.
