The Dangote Petroleum Refinery has announced a strategic partnership with MRS petrol stations to retail Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), commonly known as petrol, at N935 per litre across its outlets nationwide.
In a statement issued on Saturday, December 21, 2024, the refinery confirmed that the collaboration aims to ensure that its recent price reduction directly benefits end consumers.
The President of Dangote Industries Limited, Aliko Dangote, commended President Bola Tinubu for the “positive impact of the naira-for-crude swap deal on the Nigerian economy,” which he credited with the ongoing reduction in fuel prices across the country.
“To provide succour to Nigerians, Dangote recently reduced the price of Premium Motor Spirit from N970 to N899.50 at its Refinery loading gantry and provided generous credit terms to marketers,” the statement read.
The refinery emphasized that its partnership with MRS will ensure the reduced price reaches consumers nationwide, with Lagos already implementing the N935 per litre rate. The nationwide rollout will commence on Monday, December 23, 2024.
Aliko Dangote urged other oil marketers, including NNPCL retail and others, to collaborate in making high-quality petrol available to Nigerians at affordable prices.
“The Dangote Refinery is for the benefit of Nigeria and Nigerians. We will continue to work with various value chain players to deliver high-quality petrol at cheaper prices,” Dangote stated.
He reiterated the company’s commitment to ensuring that Nigerians have access to fuel that is not only cost-effective but also good for their vehicles and health.

The refinery recently slashed its petrol price to N899.50 per litre to alleviate the financial burden on Nigerians, especially during the festive season. This initiative, according to Dangote Refinery, is designed to ease transport costs and provide relief for citizens during the Yuletide period.
