The Governing Council of the Federal University, Lokoja, Kogi State, has approved the dismissal of four lecturers for alleged examination misconduct, sexual harassment, and unethical conduct

The decision was reached during the Second Council meeting, chaired by Senator Victor Ndoma-Egba, held recently in Lokoja. The council commended the university’s management for adhering to due process in the investigations surrounding these allegations of unethical conduct.

Emphasizing its zero-tolerance policy for unethical conduct, the council affirmed that misconduct will not be tolerated within the institution. It also directed the university to expedite the processing of other pending cases, particularly one in the Faculty of Science that has recently gained media attention.

The council cautioned other staff members and lecturers to uphold ethical standards and encouraged students to speak out against any instances of harassment or any unethical conduct.
